Compiled over a nine-year period, Women of Pender Harbour: Their Voices, was chiefly written by Dorothy Faulkner, Elaine Park and Cathy Jenks to preserve the memories of more than 40 early women settlers of the Pender Harbour area. It was developed under the auspices of the Pender Harbour Living Heritage Society, under the direction of Faulkner, chair of the Archive Legacy Committee. It includes a foreword and afterword by Edith Iglauer Dale and Theresa Kishkan respectively. The full-colour dust jacket features a painting of early Irvines Landing created for the book by Motoko. Dorothy Faulkner has lived at Garden Bay on the Sunshine Coast since 1990; Elaine Park is a former journalist with a Ph.D. in medieval studies; Cathy Jenks worked for Canadian Airlines before retiring to Pender Harbour.
