Singer-songwriter Ann Mortifee has starred or performed in various theatrical productions, such as Jacques Brel is Alive and Well, a long-running show at the Arts Club in Vancouver, having initially provided singing for the breakthrough George Ryga drama The Ecstasy of Rita Joe at the Vancouver Playhouse. She has received the Order of Canada, the Order of BC and the YWCA Woman of Distinction Award.

With her musician husband Paul Horn, she has also collaborated on a CD of improvised music and spoken words to accompany the release of her collection of inspirational writings, In Love with the Mystery (Eskova Enterprises 2010), with photographs by Courtney Milne. $26.95 978-09810065-0-5 via Dempsey Distribution.
