Veteran Vancouver Sun journalist Keith Morgan has provided the text for a memoir of Ruth Kron Sigal about the murder of 200,000 Lithuanian Jews during the Holocaust in Ruth's Closet (Shavl Publishing, 2008). Beginning in 1941, it's the survival story of the Jewish Kron family and their neighbours during the Nazi occupation of Lithuania as told by the eldest daughter of Meyer and Gita Kron. It is recommended by historian Sir Martin Gilbert as "...one of the finest Holocaust memoirs."

Morgan was born in Blackpool, England in 1954. He moved to Vancouver in 1980 where he became a columnist on cars and motoring for The Province and Sun newspapers.

Sigal was born in Lithuania in 1936. She died in Canada in 2008, shortly after the completion of her memoir.
