Cindy Patton is an associate member in Simon Fraser University's Department of Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies and a long-time community and social health activist with published work in the social study of medicine, social movement theory; gender studies; and media studies.

Cindy Patton edited Rebirth of the Clinic: Places and Agents in Contemporary Health Care (University of Minnesota Press 2010). Patton is a professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology.
