Muriel Moffat's first book, Afternoon Tea: A Timeless Tradition (Douglas & McIntyre, 2012), was first offered in the gift shop of the Fairmont Empress Hotel in Victoria where Moffat has been sipping tea in the Tea Lobby for 60 years. It reputedly sold 30,000 copies in five years and is now redesigned for its book trade debut. Includes recipes, and tea rituals. Moffat was born and raised on Vancouver Island.
