Maple Ridge resident Michelle Donovan was born and raised in France during World War II. When she immigrated to Canada in 1968, Donovan brought with her many hard-learned lessons about unconditional love and the power of friendship. These values are imparted to today's children in Donovan's fiction story for young readers, Joshua, Helmut and Bethlehem (Author Solutions, 2012). "This book will help children of different ethnicities come together and learn to appreciate each other's differences," she says.
