Less than a year after he died at age 102 in February of 2012, Ernie Kershaw's autobiography, The Pitching Professor: The Life and Times of Ernie Kershaw, one of Professional Baseball's Oldest-Living Former Players ($24.95) was released in November of 2012 at the general meeting of the West Vancouver Historical Society. It was written mostly by Len Corben, a local sportswriter and historian, who had conducted 30 hours of taped conversations with the subject, Ernie Kershaw, a former mathematics teacher at West Vancouver High School from 1936 to 1973, minus four years with the RCAF in World War II.
