Tony Walkden lives in Armstrong, BC. According to his website: "Tony has spent his life studying and learning about the world around him. He has developed a great understanding of nature and the challenges faced by many species. His ambition is to help educate people about the need to protect and preserve the environment. Anthony has spent his life in western Canada where he has taken every opportunity to increase his knowledge of local fauna. Tony has accomplished this in spite or, or perhaps because of, his autism."

His book, With A Dying Breath, was a finalist in the Next Generation Indie Book Awards 2013 for the Science/Nature/Conservation category. It has been endorsed by David Suzuki, Jack Hanna, Philippe Cousteau and Stephen Fry.
