Rhoda Moss founded Mosaic Books in Kelowna in 1968 and operated it, together with her long-time friend Wilma Dohler, until her retirement in 1991 when she sold the store. Thereafter she mentored Nancy Wise of Sandhill Book Marketing. "It was Rhoda who insisted I computerize my accounting in those early days,"; she recalls, "and I often wonder if I could have stayed in business had she not helped me to do that. She was known for her wonderful sense of humour, her pragmatism and her hearty laugh."; Mosaic Books has since flourished under the ownership of Michael Neill. In 2002, Rhoda Moss moved to Victoria where she died at age 86 on February 5, 2017.
