ADEY, Lionel




Born in Wednesbury, England in 1925, he moved to Victoria in 1967. Adey is now a Professor Emeritus for the Department of English at the University of Victoria. He is the author of C. S. Lewis' "Great War" with Owen Barfield (1978), Hymns and the Christian "Myth" (1986), Class and Idol in the English Hymn (1989), and C. S. Lewis: Writer, Dreamer, and Mentor (1998). His poetry is collected in Affirmations (1990).
