BIOGRAPHICAL DETAILS: Monique Keiran writes about the plants and animals of western Canada while working works with the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology in Drumheller, Alberta. She is a founding director of the Calgary-based science-education theatre company, Evergreen Theatre. She divides her time between Calgary and Victoria.
