Small towner A.B. Hanna of Kersley—that’s south of Quesnel—has formed Crow’s Caw Publishing to print his dog story, Absolutely Aloyicious, about a fallen saint, who, when banished from heaven for treachery, roams the earth as a dog. Aloyicious is a gimpy pooch who pads his way through conflicts within a Rocky Mountain community. He has an eye patch and one leg missing. His creator, missing the Barbera, is a volunteer floor hockey coach for the B.C. Special Olympics. Hanna supports his local SPCA. “I try to get up to our local shelter as often as possible and take a dog home for respite over the weekend to given it a break from the confines of the kennel.” He has four dogs and writes for the Quesnel Cariboo Observer.
