DAY, Frances Martin

Born in Craik, Saskatchwan, Day spent her childhood in Vancouver. In 1944 she worked overseas as a volunteer for the Canadian Red Cross Corps. A member of the Overseas Club, Victoria Branch, she suggested they write about their experiences overseas. The result is Women Overseas (Ronsdale Press, 1998), 31 women recount their involvement in World War Two and the Korean War.
