Born on July 12, 1931 in Vancouver, Tony Eberts is a freelance journalist and editor writer. His work has appeared in numerous nature magazines including B.C. Outdoors and Outdoor Canada. He has been a director of the Western Canada Wilderness Committee and was a recipient of the Outdoor Writers of Canada Prize in 1982 and the MacMillan Bloedel feature award in 1981. He co-wrote Exploring the Outdoors Southwestern British Columbia (Hancock House, 1984) with A. Grass and he co-edited Big Trees Not Big Stumps by Paul George (WCWC, 2006). He also self-published Pioneering Through the Midlife Crisis in 2004, available via the Western Canada Wilderness Committee. He retired from the Province as its outdoors/environment columnist in 1994.
