Born in Windsor Mills, Quebec in 1950, she left home at age 17. She has worked as a journalist and freelance writer in Vancouver, Sechelt and Wales, and has lived in Australia, Pakistan and Tasmania. She now lives in St. Ann's Bay, Cape Breton. Man-S-Laughter, her second novel, follows her novel Raymonde, about a woman whose three lovers have fallen to their death.
