Self-publisher Geoffrey White is a math teacher who graduated from University in Southhampton in 1974 with a B.Ed degree and has done 15 years of part-time, post-graduate work at the Universities of Calgary and the Okanagan. He has lived overseas in Africa and Europe, traveled extensively and had a stint as a professional basketball player in Europe to age 30. He now competes in Ironman competitions. He has published an SF novel and guides to teaching and marketing. In 2001 he taught in Taiwan and gathered material for an action thriller. He lives in Vernon and operates his own Casablanca Publishing imprint, established in 1991. He has released The Sporting Times Magazine (Calgary est. 1991, not currently published), Education Times Magazine (est. 1991, not currently published), Meditations and Verse by Dennis Ouellette of Prince George and Ya Want Fries with That?, an anthology of short stories and verse by various Prince George writers.
