Born in Nanaimo, he published Fury: Fictions and Films (Winnipeg: Cyclops Press, 1998) in which he includes a novella called Fury--about an Irish immigrant named Jacky Fury, his lost daughter and her terrorist Québécois lover--and several short fictions followed by a 'filmpoem' called Hitler! about his relationship with his schizophrenic brother Niall. The title is drawn from an expletive his brother uses at the outset of the piece.
