Born in New Westminster and raised in Ladysmith, Radford has also lived in Victoria and Vancouver. She graduated from the University of Victoria in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Creative Writing. She started writing stories for children after reading countless picture books outloud to her younger siblings. Currently the editor of the visitor magazines Where Vancouver and Where Whistler, she is a member of SCBWI, CANSCAIP, CWILL BC, The Writers' Union of Canada, and the Federation of BC
Writers.
