Georgia Straight bookman John Burns has teamed with Elizabeth Caton for his first book, Urban Picnic (Arsenal Pulp $24.95), a light-hearted, illustrated history of the picnic. Burns invited contributions from Georgia Straight cronies including Jurgen Gothe, Christina Burridge and photographer Phil Chin, plus some chefs like Rob Feenie and Umberto Menghi.
