Lynda J. Erickson is a Professor Emerita in the Department of Political Science at Simon Fraser University.

With R.K. Carty and Donald Blake she co-authored Grass Roots Politicians (UBC Press, 1991), a study of political party activists in B.C.

Together with David Laycock, in Reviving Social Democracy: The Near Death and Surprising Rise of the Federal NDP (UBC Press $95.00) she explores how Canada's New Democratic Party went from near collapse in the 1993 election to becoming Canada's Official Opposition in 2011.
