As curator of marine invertebrates at the Royal B.C. Museum, Philip Lambert (b. 1945) has published No. 39 - The Sea Stars of B.C. (Victoria: Crown Publishing, 1981) and Sea Cucumbers of British Columbia, Southeast Alaska and Puget Sound (UBC Press, 1997). In a third and final handbook on B.C.'s echinoderms, Brittle Stars, Sea Urchins and Feather Stars (Royal B.C. Museum, 2007), co-authored with William Austin, Lambert describes 34 species inhabiting the coastal waters of B.C., the Alaska Panhandle and Puget Sound.
