A self-described 'lippy libertine lass with Celtic roots and oodles of time on her hands' Victoria Adams goes by the pen name Aphrodite Beamish. She shares her life with a significant other named Theolonius McTavish, and a pet named 'Naughty Spotty'. "I simply adore communing with nature," she says, "not to mention an odd assortment of pixies, pucks and panhandlers who hide among the plants, trees and shrubs of Victoria's most pristine parks and playgrounds." Her first book of humour is The Glorious Glossary of SNIT, co-written with 'Desdemona Dwimmercraft'. "Although I illustrated the cover and wrote this tiny titillating tome," she says, "I chose the 'non de plume' option to distance myself from my other life as a business development and strategic planning consultant... not exactly a mirthful mouthful." SNITS stands for Sticky Nixies in Ticklish Situations.
