Born in 1874, Arthur P. Woollacott explored British Columbia as a canoeist, prospector and amateur anthropologist, publishing a book on Alexander Mackenzie's journeys to the Arctic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean, with 32 photographs. He died in 1958.
