Born on June 7, 1949 in Denmark, Mike Fenger came to Canada in 1955. A forest biodiversity specialist for the BC Ministry of Environment for more than three decades, his experience encompasses protected areas design, old-growth conservation, habitat surveys and modelling, ecological restoration, environmental impact and risk assessment, forest policy, integrated resource planning and training. A long-time member of the Wildlife Tree Committee of British Columbia, Mike is now a Professional Forester in private practice and principal of Mike Fenger and Associates. He lives in Victoria.
