Born on August 4th, 1971 in Regina, Saskatchewan, Brian S. Matthews moved to British Columbia in 1989 to study drama at Studio 58. After performing for a number of years as a stage actor and stand-up comic, Brian's interest shifted to writing. He has lived in Burnaby since 1991. His biographical summary states, "Indigenous to Western Canada, Brian S. Matthews is a large furry member of the chipmunk family. Though typically nocturnal, he sometimes ventures out during the day and can occasionaly be spotted renewing his insurance or trying to order fast food in Klingon. Brian's dating history includes such highlights as being stood up by a hooker. He is illiterate in over a dozen languages and once lectured at the University of Queensland, Australia to a group of post-grads even more baffled by it than he was."
