Born in Vancouver, Nicola Merrells lives in Surrey, B.C. with her family. She has a B.A. from the University of British Columbia and a Creative Writing Diploma. She works in a library, teaches creative writing classes, undertakes freelance and contract writing and has helped to organize the annual Surrey International Writers' Conference.
