Frustrated by a lack of Aboriginal resource material when she was teaching a grade 4 Social Studies course during eight years at Bridge River, non-Aboriginal Rosalia Scott wrote From Moon To End Of Year (Vancouver: Guinness Publishing, 1977) based on information in James Teit's The Lillooet Indians. Illustrated by Elizabeth Carefoot, Scott's 61-page instructional book about the lives of the Lillooet people centres upon a boy named Bright Day, circa 1800.
