Born on Vancouver Island, Linnea Heinrichs lives on a hobby farm in northern B.C. Her debut young-adult novel, The First Vial (Thistledown Press, 2005), is set in fourteenth-century England, a time when the country was ravaged by the Black Death. Katherine, Lady of Crenfeld Castle, must pit her wits against a villainous priest intent on usurping her land and terrorizing the innocent.
