A former drug user and petty criminal, Brian Ruud had a revelation during a stint in prison and converted to Christianity. He wrote a book, The Trip Beyond (Prentice-Hall, 1972), and recorded an LP, From A Bum Trip To... The Trip Beyond, which provide a personal account of how he escaped his troubled past to find God.
