Carol Gardarsson worked in the newspaper industry for over 30 years, starting as rural reporter in the Manitoba Interlake area, and working at almost every job in the industry in Alberta and B.C., finally becoming publisher of newspapers in Alberta and B.C. After relocating to Gibsons, B.C., Gardarrson has produced a trilogy that arose from her Manitoba folklore about a woman who was branded as a witch from infancy. The series was launched at the Gimli Icelandic Festival and has proved popular with Icelandic Canadians.
