Born in England, Simon Thompson holds a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University and a MA in English from Simon Fraser University. As an English teacher at Northwest Community College in Terrace, he launched his first book, Why Does it Feel So Late? (New Star, 2009), at the Terrace Art Gallery. Thompson's book was recommended to New Star Books by George Stanley.
