Editor Camilla Turner was hired to complete Pip: The Story of Philip Despard Pemberton Holmes (Trafford 2008), with 250 photos.

For more than forty years Holmes was the fourth president of the Victoria real estate firm Pemberton Holmes Ltd. that was founded by his great-grandfather and grandfather. Turner's book is a continuation of Holmes' efforts to write an autobiography. Descended from French, Anglo-Irish, Spanish, Scottish and Métis ancestors, some of whom worked for the Hudson Bay Company and the lesser-known XY Company, Holmes earned a Distinguished Flying Cross during World War II and became world president of the International Real Estate Federation [FIABCI]. He travelled extensively for business, and developed concerns for human global settlement.
