Leigh Burpee Robinson left eastern Canada for British Columbia in the late 1920s. She contributed a 1942 article to Canadian Geographical Journal called 'To British Columbia's Totem Land: Expedition of Dr. Powell in 1873'. For her history of Esquimalt, she has also been credited (by Victoria historian Derek Pethick) as L.B. Robinson:
Esquimalt: "Place of Shoaling Waters" (Victoria: Quality Press, 1947; 1948). Illustrated by Bertram Digby Robinson.
