"Tom Johnston was inducted as a member of the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame and is a life member of the Sports Car Club of British Columbia. He drove racing cars at the Westwood circuit from 1967 to 1973. In the years following he entered many cars at Westwood that he designed and manufactured, piloted by well-known drivers such as Frank Allers and Ross Bentley. He has also run his professional Formula Atlantic team at dozens of other circuits in Canada and the US. He was involved in the management of Westwood and was personally involved in the final negotiations with the provincial government, representing the interests of the Sports Car Club of British Columbia, at the cabinet level. Compile his book Westwood (2006) he had access to the archives of the SCCBC as well as other private photo collections. The book includes a portrait gallery of over 300 drivers, officials and others from the 32 seasons.
