Chronicling its evolution from a single drive-in location in 1928 to a modern family restaurant with locations in B.C., Alberta and Asia, the fully-illustrated book brings White Spot into family kitchens with recipes for classic dishes like Chicken Pot Pie and Fish & Chips, as well as contemporary feature entrées like Salmon, Prawn & Scallop Risotto - all tailored for the home cook.

From Vancouver's early days of Model T Fords, through the hot rod era of the 1950s, the pages take readers on a culinary journey that includes historic photos and testimonials from long-time staff and celebrities, such as Michael Bublé, Red Robinson, David Foster, Pat Quinn and Wayne Cox. Among the recipes, you'll find Bishop's Chicken Curry by renowned chef John Bishop, and Chuck Currie's Favourite Burger - a Portobello mushroom and Cambozola cheese-inspired creation from White Spot's Executive Chef.
Until December 31st, partial proceeds from every book sold at White Spot Restaurants will benefit Variety - The Children's Charity.

White Spot Highlights: By The Decade
1920s Young, baseball-loving entrepreneur Nat Bailey follows his passion for the restaurant business and launches what would become the first official White Spot restaurant, and Canada's first drive-in restaurant, at 67th and Granville in Vancouver.
1930s Nat Bailey expands his business - and menu - with the sit-down Granville Dining Room.
1950s Nat Bailey opens White Spot locations in Victoria and New Westminster.
1960s The Pirate Pak is born.
1970s White Spot is updated and rebranded, becoming a licenced restaurant with new, sophisticated menu offerings and booth seating.
1980s Peter Toigo Sr. purchases White Spot. With an entrepreneurial spirit reminiscent of Nat Bailey, Toigo Sr. opens restaurants in Kelowna, Abbotsford and Nanaimo.
1990s White Spot opens its first franchise location in Vernon. In honour of its founder, White Spot introduces Nat's Hearty Breakfast and Nat Bailey Pale Ale.
2000s Chuck Currie takes the culinary helm as Executive Chef. The company's persona is transformed, and modern branding replaces the iconic chicken logo.
