Project coordinator Robert W. Allen has presented the biographies of 142 pioneer surveyors in The L.S. Group: British Columbia's First Land Surveyors (Assn. of BC Land Surveyors $30 2007). Prior 1891 there were approximately 150 land surveyors who used the initials L.S. to advertise their official status.
