Cecilia Benoit is a scientist at the Centre for Addictions Research of British Columbia, and an instructor at the University of Victoria instructor. She edited, along with Hega Hallgrimsdottir, Valuing Care Work: Comparative Perspectives (UTP, 2011), a collection of essays about how the welfare state shapes paid and unpaid labour in caregiving.
