Cindy Brandner lives in the interior of British Columbia with a menagerie that includes one husband, three children, two dogs, one cat and an assortment of impermanent lodgers otherwise known as 'neighbourhood children'. The two great passions of her life are writing and Irish history, elements that fused together into 'Exit Unicorns' , her novel of "the troubles" in Northern Ireland in the 1960s, which she self-published through FirstBooks. She has travelled extensively in Ireland, drawing from her own family history to write the book.
