Born August 8, 1934 in Victoria, Brown lives in the Powell River district. A former instructor at St. Lawrence College in Kingston, Ontario, he now teaches at Malaspina University-College in Powell River. While in Kingston, Brown was a literary editor of Quarry Magazine. His poetry has been collected in books and chapbooks including his long poem The Almond Tree and the major collections, Winter Journey and The Burden of Jonah ben Amittai.
