Born in Dawson, Yukon in 1908, he studied for the priesthood before discovering the newspaper business. He joined the Vancouver Sun as a sportswriter and photographer in 1939. He became the Vancouver Canucks team photographer when the team entered the NHL in 1970 and has photographed two decades of Canucks history. His photos illustrate Norm Jewison's The Vancouver Canucks: The First Twenty Years. He was introduced into the B.C. Sports Hall of Fame in 1983. [BCBW 1995]
