A member of the Delta police department, he published Dog Training For Law Enforcement (Detselig, 1985), drawn from his experiences in police K9 units. Also suitable for the general public, the manual covers everything from feeding and housing your dog to training him for life-threatening situations. It's used as a standard basic training manual by police agencies in the United States and Canada. It was a finalist for the top dog training manual of the year by the Dog Writers Association Of America.

Eden's K9 Officer's Manual, also published by Detselig, was released in the spring of 1993 and is used by police agencies in the United States, Sweden, England, South Africa and Europe.
