Fleisher, Mark Stewart. Clallam: A Study in Coast Salish Ethnolinguistics (Ann Arbor, Michigan: University Microfilms International, 1976). This dissertation presents an analysis of the Clallam language, which has close relations to the dialects of the Sooke and Songish of Vancouver Island, and the Lummi of Bellingham. This stem lexicon has two primary syntactic categories, the first being particles and the second being inflected surface forms.
