Having graduated in photography and interdisciplinary studies from Emily Carr College of Art and Design in 1985, abstract painter and photographer Skai Fowler of Vancouver has been exhibiting her work since 1987.
As an arts administrator, she has worked for small arts and theatre companies, then for the City of Vancouver in the Office of Cultural Affairs co-ordinating and developing the Community Public Art Program. She later worked as an arts mentor and administrator for emerging artists and as a scenic artist theatre productions. Fowler also teaches digital photography and has been employed as an adjunct professor, teaching scenic painting at University of British Columbia in the Theatre and Film Dept.
