Born and raised in England, Kermode-Scott of Comox moved to Calgary in 1982. She has three decades of experience as a medical writer, editor and journalist. She has been published in Macleans, Chatelaine, the Canadian Medical Association Journal, The British Medical Journal, Medical Post, Drugstore Canada, Canadian Family Physician, and Family Practice.

With "Hearts, Minds & Vision," Kermode-Scott describes Calgary's significant contributions to cardiovascular science over the course of the 20th century.
