Celia King was born in 1959. A visual artist, writer, illustrator and paper engineer, she teaches at Emily Carr College of Art. Her first two innovative pop-up books assembled in Colombia, The Seven Ancient Wonders of the World and The Seven Natural Wonders of the World, were nominated for B.C. kidlit book prizes and received Critici in Erba Honourable Mentions at the Bologna Book Fair. Other titles from Raincoast Books include The Seven Modern Wonders of the World, Seven Mysterious Wonders of the World, Seven Mythical Creatures and Seven Great Inventions (1995).
