Born in Regina, on June 28, 1953, James Allan Krause (Ph.D) lives in Courtenay. His great-grandfather, A.E. Wilson, financed the founding of the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool. His grandfather, Dr. Allan Walker Blair, was a physician who offered free cancer treatment to patients. A graduate assistant at Touro University International, James Krause is the son of Frank Krause, a former executive for Air Canada (Saskatchewan) and Canadian writer Pat Krause. His sister is the award-winning poet Judith Krause.
