Edited by Owen Lippert, Beyond the Nass Valley from The Fraser Institute (Fraser Institute, 2000) claims to provide the only full treatment of the national implications of the Supreme Court's Delgamuukw decision made by Chief Justice Antonio Lamer on December 11, 1997. The book arose from two conferences held by the Fraser Institute to explore the subject. Lippert edited the book as director of the Law and Markets Project at the Fraser Institute of Vancouver. He received his B.A. from Carleton College in Minnesota and his Ph.D in European History from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. In addition to generating a Law and Economics column for Canadian Lawyer magazine, Lippert has contributed to other Fraser Institute publications such as Competitive Strategies for Intellectual Property Protection (2000) and The Underground Economy (1997).
