Dr. Rod McCormick, an Indigenous health researcher and professor has co-authored three books and contributed to several others as well as publishing academic journal articles. His nation is Kanienkehaka (Mohawk) and he lives on reserve in the home community of Tkemlups te Secwepemc.

Dr. McCormick works at Thompson Rivers University as a professor and research chair. As of 2020 he was developing a new center at TRU called: All my Relations. The center will be a national Indigenous family and community health research and training center to identify, research and further develop and implement best practices in Aboriginal family and community health and healing.

Dr. McCormick holds a Ph.D. from UBC -- Counselling Psychology, 1994; M.A. from the Univ. of Victoria -- Counselling Psychology, 1986; B.Ed. from Queens University, 1981; and a B.A. from Carleton University, 1980.
