Roy Minter was born in 1916. He has made four films about the North, including Brave New North and Take Four Giant Steps. With a foreward by Pierre Berton, The White Pass: Gateway to the Klondike (McClelland & Stewart, 1988) is a Yukon history that took more than a decade to prepare following Minter's retirement in 1974. It's the story of the people who planned, promoted and built the White Pass Railway. Minter died in 1996.
