Info

Victim becomes victimizer as this tale alternates from WWII England to 1950s Vancouver. Yvonne suffers at the hands of her mother-a washed-out dancer who's given in to the bottle. The abuse starts in West Yorkshire, 1935. "The curling iron came down towards her face. Yvonne threw herself backwards, felt the hair rip from her scalp and heat sear through her chest. As her mother let her go she crashed to the floor, banging her head on the edge of the hearth. Everything went dark."; 0-86492-342-2
